2024 Outlook: Reset

We’ve listened to your stories of past DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) training experiences and we hear how some approaches have been effective at making change and others haven’t.  We hear your frustration when good intentions brought people to the table and the outcome was the complete opposite:  more division, less belonging and paralyzed circumstances.  

The Missing Piece

There is a piece missing in the design process, one that allows for the information to be digested and processed and centers the physical body in the transformative work.  It sounds overly simplified and it is.  

The Glue

Solving the Equity Puzzle

Solving the Equity Puzzle is an introduction to our experiential learning approach and core content. By mapping the terrain of decolonization & ethics, restoration, creativity and messaging & integration, you will better understand the processes and practices that have been absent from your organization and orient yourself to what a transformative journey at the center of DEI + Wellness can be.  This workshop is a lab for you to fumble, grow, repair and ignite.

Values-Based Messaging For A Changing World

In times of rapid change, old ways of designing your marketing won’t have longevity.  It’s time to name a strategy that authentically communicates your organizational mission, vision and values.  Through a DEI lens, we will expand how we use messaging to be responsive to the moment while avoiding the pitfalls of performative messaging.  If you’ve been pondering how to promote products and services while in the midst of a global/social crisis, consider this workshop  a constructive place to explore, inform and elevate.  Engaged in experiential activities, we will practice storytelling and embellish creative processes at the heart of marketing design.  In community, we can inquire deeply into the paradoxes and contradictions of living and working in an era of social transformation. t’s tight us how to do this balancing act.

Marketing Metamorph

Ecology of Belonging

Beginning from the central question of what belonging feels like in the body, this learning space spirals through interconnected webs of relating.  Inspired by the organizational powers of the natural world, we travel into the heart of DEI - the landscape of belonging.  A deeply personal experience, how do we authentically generate the possibility that our teams and organizations can model the systems of living organisms?  Since humans are social beings, for our DEI + Wellness approaches to breathe vitality into work systems, they must be collaboratively designed.  At their heart lies a sense of safety which allows for belonging to be the base operation instead of reactive, protective natures.  It’s easy to make a call for community building but the long-term timeline required to build cultures of belonging requires restorative practices, creative processes and bravery.
